About Me
Yifan Gao is a designer and creative technologist working across interaction, visual communication, and experimental media. Her practice explores the space between design, technology, and everyday experience, combining visual communication, coding, and physical materials to create interactive systems and digital stories.
She is currently studying Visual Communication Design and Art & Technology at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
She’s interested in how people understand images and interfaces — how motion, interaction, and small details shape the way we feel. Through websites, installations, and new media projects, she aims to design experiences that are simple, intuitive, and human centered.
